I researched every laptop in this price range

I looked at multiple different models. Some users complained about crashing. I had 3 crashes after trying to download games through XBOX gamepass. I used Grok Build to identify the issue and it suggested disabling 'Memory Integrity' in the windows system settings. After doing this I have not had any crashes.
The performance of this laptop is really great. It's snappy and boots quickly. There's no system slow down whatsoever. On a fresh boot the laptop is responsive and ready to go. It comes with a dedicated RTX 5050 8GB, which is really the big selling point of this laptop. The laptop only has 16gb of non-upgradeable ram, however, because it has a dedicated GPU, when gaming or using apps that can access your GPU, you get a bonus 8gb of ram. This is also accessible when using apps with hardware acceleration. This is very different from a laptop with 16gb of ram and an iGPU. The backend allocates resources effectively to give you an optimal experience. This does come at a cost of more power utilization, and is not as effective as having 32gb of dedicated RAM, but it isn't 'nothing'. That RTX5050 is also giving you access to DLSS and frame-gen in games, and when compared to even the best iGPU like a B390, still beats it by 50% in rasterization. The keyboard area is relatively cool, even under load. I've used and returned laptops in the past because the keyboard area gets so insanely hot. If you're also sensitive to that I would not worry.
The screen quality is very good. After downloading AMD Adrenaline I was able to adjust the colors to my preference. The Lenovo Advantage app has display color profiles you can choose from to set the base color profile for the screen. I suggest doing that first. I'm using DCIP, as in my opinion that is the best profile for media consumption. From there you can go into Adrenaline and adjust the saturation, contrast, brightness to what looks good to you. The screen is glossy, but this isn't a big deal on this laptop. Even on a black screen. Yes, you can see your reflection, but it's no worse than your phone. I actually use a matte OLED monitor for my desktop because gloss bothers me, but I'm not bothered on this.
The battery life is.... well it's a windows laptop. The AMD CPU is great, but it's not a core ultra. Lenovo Advantage has battery profiles you can use for best performance, best battery life and somewhere in between. If you are at max brightness and 120hz, watching youtube, browsing twitter, playing some games, you could get 2 hours to 4 hours. People have reported 10 hours at 60hz, medium brightness with power saving settings turned on. With the included laptop charger it charges from 10% to full while in use at max performance settings in about an hour. The battery is 84w. As I'm writing this at 120hz and 75% screen brightness battery usage is at 15w. However, of that 15w, 5w to 8w is being used by the idle gpu. That's in its lowest power state, a resting state, so that it can start up when needed. The gpu in balanced mode tops at 45w. In Geek mode (plugged in) it tops at 90w. The max TDP is 105w, which you need MSI Afterburner to do. Real use case: Unplugged Battery Saver mode for work/school will last you 8 hours browsing, typing, youtube. There's a Adaptive Power mode that you can leave the laptop on and it will adjust your power use throughout the day. The laptop only accepts a 65w+ type-c charger over 20v, so a normal phone charger does not work. However, you can get a 20v charger that works on phones and laptops for less than $20 and it looks exactly like a cellphone charger. You don't need a big brick charger. For $40 you can get a 20v 100w charger. Definitely worth getting as a backup. The charging brick the laptop comes with uses a proprietary plug that looks like a USB-A but smaller, and that does 170w over 20v. You can tell if a charging brick can charge this laptop by looking at the text on a charging brick and looking for '20v'.
Overall, this is a VERY good value laptop. For under $1100 you get: OLED + 1800p + 120hz + RTX5050. It also has a full-size keyboard with numpad which is VERY nice. The SSD is upgradeable AND there's a 2nd unoccupied m.2 2280 slot, so you can add a 1tb/2tb/4tb drive., anything higher might be too thick for the chassis. I highly recommend this laptop.

Bum model

The mouse would stop responding, then the computer would go into restart mode. Eventually, this was happening several times a day. I returned the computer and bought an Acer instead.

Good battery life, great screen, supports Linux installs well (currently running Kubuntu)

I've installed Linux on the laptop instead of windows and for those curious, 100% of the bits work -- even have the face unlock working 100%. No complaints about any of it. Battery life under Linux (can't speak to Windows) is a good 5-6 hours even watching videos, etc.
This should sum it up, I'm impressed enough that if I were to buy another laptop or desktop, it'll likely be a Lenovo instead of the list of other brands I've used over the years.

Very good in everything you need from a laptop

Kernel error

My unit kept crashing and restarting. I searched the code online and it led me to disable the Nvidia GPU after trying everything else and it hasn't crashed since. A real shame for what otherwise is a great laptop.

Power issue

It charges, but you can’t use it. Has to be unplugged to be operational and I’m using the power cord that came with the computer. Once unplugged I need to do a hard reboot every time. :-(
