At a high level, I would describe this is a business productivity machine that's friendly for users who travel regularly, with some pleasant surprises on weight and battery life. I have been quite happy using this as a primary work machine. Case and weight When opening the package I immediately noticed how light laptop felt. Not quite as light as a tablet, but definitely lighter than my average laptop of this size. I expected the case to feel cheap as a result, but the body feels firm and rigid, and the lid snaps closed firmly. The look on the black device is nice as well, mitigated only by how easily it seems to pick up fingerprints even with dry, recently washed hands. They come off easily enough with alcohol wipes, but does affect the aesthetic. Performance I found this machine to be quite snappy in general, launching Edge within a second and an Outlook profile with a good bit of history within 5 seconds. Throughout my normal work day, the CPU rarely exceeds 25% when running an active Teams meeting with video or a screen share, Outlook, Word, Excel, and an open RDP connection. The fan is reasonably quick to kick in, but it's pretty quiet and so that didn't bother me. While I'm certainly not a heavy gamer, when I did foray into some lighter games (Starcraft 2, League of Legends), the CPU again was not significantly strained, running SC2 at high quality in 1080p at around 50% CPU. On the gaming note, I will say that the graphics card here seems primarily geared for productivity versus gaming. While it can run some more modern games at low quality settings and get 30-50 fps, I would not classify it as a gaming machine. Back to the SC2 example, I could run that 2015-era game at full quality and get 40-50 fps with no lag or hiccups, but an old RTS is not a new FPS. Battery life This is where this laptop shines for me. I am accustomed to getting 4-5 hours from a normal laptop, or 6-8 from something with a larger battery. I ran on battery 10 hours, running Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Edge full time, and an active RDP session for half that time, all with the screen at full brightness in balanced power mode, and at the end of that time was down to 45% battery. Left me feeling like I could put in a full day without having that 'should I plug in' question nagging at me all afternoon, which when traveling is quite nice not to have one more thing to think about. Keyboard I like that this thing has a number pad, which comes in surprisingly handy on the productivity front. The keyboard feels decent, not a ton of vertical movement but not soft and squishy. Trackpad The trackpad behaves smoothly and is of a decent size. It also supports the two-fingered scrolling, which is quite handy. It did take me a while to get used to the buttonless design, finding myself left-clicking instead of right-clicking due to where my hand drifted, but once I got used to it, it wasn't an issue. Screen The 1080p screen is sharp and acceptably bright, not quite as bright as a MacBook Pro, but bright enough that I don't find myself squinting to see when I'm near an airport window with sun coming in. While it's a larger screen for a laptop, it's slim and light enough that it in no way feels bulky for something of that screen size. On the touchscreen front, it took my brain a bit to get used to the anti-glare coating on a touchscreen, but once I did, it's worked well. Haven't noticed any responsiveness issues due to it not being standard glossy glass, and in fact I feel like I can use it with a gentler touch than many other laptop touchscreens I've used. The screen still wobbles when tapping as it does on most touchscreens, but when swiping and scrolling it's steady enough that it remains still if you're gentle. Camera The camera is of reasonable quality, providing a mid-range picture in moderately low-light situations with a little bit of visual grain. If you're in a high-contrast setting, you'll need to adjust the camera settings manually to even things out a bit, but workable for meetings and such overall. Power The power brick on this one is nice and small, closer to an oversized tablet charger than your standard laptop cord. It uses one of the two USB-C ports on the left side of the laptop to charge, and while the use of a USB-C port is not usually ideal when I have several things to plug in, the battery life on this is good enough that I've rarely had that be a blocker for me. The use of USB-C also meant I could swap out the cord with a type or length that worked better for me, which I really like. There's a lot to be said for standardization there. Software This is a full-fledged Copilot machine, with all the bells and whistles that entails. I will say that this came without the usual cost I would expect of battery life and intermittent slowness, so AMD did their work well on this one. While not all of the included LG software wasn't relevant for me, there were a couple of handy applications mixed in there, such as the mobile screen sharing application that came in handy for a couple presentations.
