Good tablet for a child

Pretty pleased with this tablet. It's a Quad core. The wifi is 6 so it has strong steady connection. Videos play smoothly. Games and apps too. The tablet keeps it's charge! 4 days sleeping but 68% when I woke it up. It plays video and charges without over heating. That is one of my main pet peeves is when children tablet overheating in their hands. Very good price for the quality. The screen is 10' for the screen protector. I find no issues. It works great. A good kid tablet.

Honestly, this is a case where I wish I could give an extra half star. I just think the tablet is underpowered even for a child’s tablet but it’s ok.

When I booted the tablet for the first time, I had to go through all the Google set up process. So, parents, be aware, you might want to get this ready to go the day before giving it to your child. I then went over to the iWawa child’s area. I tried to launch something and the entire iWawa system shut down. However, after a reboot and some more declines on the set up process things seemed to stabilize.

I played a “Name of Vegetables” game just to try things out. That worked fine. I did notice the tablet seems to hesitate when pulling up the keyboard or when setting items up and that’s why I say it might be underpowered. I think the iWawa app shutting off on its own is due to the same thing.

I will say the parental controls all seemed easy to set up and were very comprehensive. You can control screen time, and what apps appear in the Child’s area. If you add apps to the tablet, you can choose to add them into the child’s area. So, you are not locked into the games and resources that are available with iWawa.

The child can’t get into the main tablet menus without a 4 digit I pin set by the parent. I did chuckle that the default is 0000 and is instructions are displayed. So, again, if this is an important feature, make sure to set the PIN ahead of time.

I DO really like the child proof case that the tablet comes in. It gives the thin tablet some ability to be gripped. The stand seems to work good for it. I didn’t like that a child could shove all the fingers into the area where you turn on the pad and boot the tablet into Command Mode. Luckily there’s nothing the child can do except reboot it. If they do manage it, don’t be surprised when your little kiddo brings you a tablet with an Android laying prone with its maintenance door open. Don’t panic, just reboot.

This is a tablet with pros and cons and I think it’d be fine for a younger child’s first tablet. I think, depending on the child, they may want more from their device than this tablet can deliver as they grow into late Elementary.

Running on Android 15, the tablet performs smoothly for its intended use. It handles educational apps, videos, games, and web browsing without major lag. With 64GB of internal storage and support for up to 1TB expandable storage, there’s plenty of space for apps, movies, and learning content, which is a big advantage at this price point.
The built-in parental control software is one of the tablet’s strongest features. Parents can manage screen time, limit access to apps and websites, and create a safer digital environment. The pre-installed kids’ apps and educational content make setup simple and allow children to start using it right away.
The 10-inch display is a good size for watching videos, reading, and interactive learning apps. WiFi connectivity is reliable for streaming and downloads. While the camera and speakers are basic, they are perfectly acceptable for video calls, casual photos, and everyday kid use.

With children’s tablets, especially the more “budget-friendly” ones, it’s always hit or miss. Unfortunately, this one fell far below expectations.

First off, we have our entire home running on Wi-Fi 7, and all our other devices connect perfectly. But this tablet? We had to keep trying over and over just to get it to connect. Why? I have no idea. Even sitting right next to the router, it struggled.

Once we finally got it set up, it was painfully slow. So slow, in fact, that even our one-year-old lost patience, she got frustrated, left it on the couch, and refused to play with it again. That says a lot coming from a toddler.

To make matters worse, the specs definitely don’t match what’s advertised, and by day two, the tablet completely stopped charging. It’s now just a useless brick.

I couldn’t recommend this to anyone, and I definitely wouldn’t buy it again.

The media could not be loaded.

Not sure where to contact seller. Love the product but right away there's an issue with charging port. It's loose and jiggles. I just got everything setup so its ready for Christmas but now im disappointed because I know I need to return it and get a new one because I don't want to see it be a problem past the return policy and then not be able to use it. It's not too expensive but its not cheap. Also the screen came with screen protector-cool, but I've never seen that ever on new products, soooo not sure if this was someone else's. When I opened it there was product clear film to peel off. However a glue was stuck to screen. It came off pretty easy but kind of weird. ****update tries buying a new one and its the same on the other must be how its made.

Okay, so hear me out. This is being used by an adult because frankly, I am a klutz that can't help but drop my electronics because of butter fingers. But is it just as effective and functional as the normal tablet? Yes, one hundred percent. So would I trust a kid with it? Absolutely. The case is comfy to hold, the tablet responds decently fast and it's a great option for "tablet kids" who aren't capable of the more expensive options. It's very durable and has taken quite a few drops already. Sound is decent, nothing to write home about but perfect for a kid. Totally worth the money, it'll withstand use and abuse. Battery life is also pretty impressive. Worth it.
