Not a gaming machine. I use it to run a laser engraver, edit some images and download basic CAD files. It handles these dedicated tasks without problems and is probably overpowered for what I use it for.

Nice PC

Awesome Mini PC

It's great for a dedicated gaming server

Good build quality but some caveats

The N95 processor is good for light desktop use. If you intend to run Linux it isreally worth getting over a raspberry pi.
The mostly metal case on this is a sign of the good build quality - which seems to be better than the average mini PC. I own several different models from different manufacturers.
The unit has the ability to easily add a 2.5 sata drive. As long as you don't lose the included special cable and mounting screws. When you install this extra drive, you have to put it in the top. So that makes it a small paint to re-assemble. I wish this were a bit easier as I've seen on other models.
I like that the ram and NVME SSD are user replaceable given that they are off brand name. These parts are probably fine for this type of unit but some other manufacturers use brand name components - especially on the RAM.
Ok now on to the caveats. The first is that with any PC that doesn't come from one of the big names, you probably want to install your own version of windows just to be safe. The second is that the version of the bios on this computer isn't the version that is on the manufacturers website. This is highly suspect as they should have the latest version on their website. This unit is apparently being sold by the OEM which makes it slightly less suspect.
Anyway the TLDR here is that the hardware seems fine but the software is suspect.

Great price - works well so far!

Set up was pretty easy with the exception of one step where it said to remove the back, which confused me, but that was to add more memory I think if it was needed (that’s what ChatGPT said). It’s for work use, where I have many tabs open at once. Nice space saver

Powerful package in a small unit

Good performance and build quality for a budget mini-PC

The processor is great for general desktop use, and can be used as a server for non-graphic-intensive (e.g. running surveillance software such as BlueIris, Omada Client, etc.), but limited ability makes it non-ideal as a Plex server or for moderate gaming.
WALK-AROUND
This computer has a matte finish with grey vents which has a premium look to it. The top of the computer is all-grate and labels, and this is the intake for the active fan. The right and left sides are only grates. The front panel incudes a power button, 3.5” audio jack, USB-C, two USB-A ports, and a recessed clear CMOS button. On the rear panel is the primary exhaust, LAN port, two USB-A ports, two HDMI ports, and a DC power in. The bottom of the unit is solid black; some labels, and anti-slip tape at the corners. The miniPC measures roughly 5” x 4.5” x 1.75”; the included power cord is 57” long.
PERFORMANCE
This PC handles day-to-day tasks with no trouble. From off, time to login screen is around 18 seconds; after logging in, the desktop virtually immediately after pressing enter. While stressed, the fan will run but it isn’t overly noisy, especially if the miniPC can be located under a desk or attached the back of a monitor.
PERFORMANCE – BENCHMARKING
I used 3dMark CPU Profile to benchmark this against my aging i7-6700k server. The Bosgame performed better at up to 4 threads, while the old i7 did better with 8+ threads. Below are benchmarks of the Bosgame (my i7-6700k performance in parenthesis for comparison):
- 1 thread – 390 (122)
- 2 threads – 724 (250)
- 4 threads – 1210 (922)
- 8 threads – 1212 (2725)
- 16 threads – 1207 (2817)
- Max threads – 1207 (2733)
SECURITY & BLOATWARE
After setting up the computer, but before connecting it to my network, I installed MalwareBytes and did a full scan. No findings, and I haven’t come across any bloatware so far.
MISCELLANEOUS
After Windows 11 configures and installs, I’m left with 436GB (of 474GB) space on the SSD. The Windows installation and updates went flawlessly.
THE GOOD
+ Great performance for desktop usage
+ Extremely low power consumption
+ Good overall value
THE BAD
- Requires special power plug (with external power supply); not USB-C
OVERALL
This is a solid low-power mini-PC option, but for most applications, I’d prefer the flexibility of a higher-powered CPU (such as a Ryzen7 5800U).
